The third nomination was a charm for Pier 1 Imports, which won this year's Award for Outstanding Corporation from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Pier 1 CEO Marvin Girouard, cause branding specialist Joy Rich, benefits director Melisa Caston, and Tasa Anderson and Beth Reynolds of the community relations department accepted the honor earlier this month at an association convention in Atlanta.
The company was nominated, for the third straight year, by the Fort Worth Metro Chapter of AFP Texas, for its work with UNICEF at the international level, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at the national level and Cancer Care Services at the local level."
